Court Culture (“we”, “us”) runs courtculture.shop, an online store for padel and racket-sports gear based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025 of Bangladesh. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the use of your information as described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, mobile and WhatsApp number, email address, delivery and billing address, account login details, order notes, messages you send us through our contact form, email or WhatsApp, and product reviews.

Marketplace sellers: if you list a pre-owned item, we also collect the photos and description you upload, your asking price, and the contact name and phone/WhatsApp number used to arrange collection and your payout (for example your bKash, Nagad or bank details when we pay you).

Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number. For cash on delivery, bKash or bank transfer we keep the transaction reference needed to confirm your payment.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, items viewed or added to your cart, and how you arrived at our site. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).

2. How we use your information

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
  • To contact you about your order by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To run the Court Culture Marketplace: reviewing listings, arranging collection from sellers, and paying sellers.
  • To manage your account and keep it secure, including preventing fraud and misuse.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service.
  • To send you offers and news, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Our legal basis and your consent

We process your information because it is needed to complete your order or provide the service you asked for, because the law requires it, or because you have given your consent (for example for marketing emails or non-essential cookies). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with:

  • Delivery partners (couriers in Bangladesh) – your name, phone number and delivery address so they can deliver your order.
  • Payment providers (such as Stripe, bKash, Nagad and banks) – to process payments, refunds and seller payouts.
  • Service providers who help us run the store: website hosting (A2 Hosting), email marketing (Omnisend), website analytics (Google Analytics via Google Site Kit), customer reviews (Trustpilot) and messaging (WhatsApp).
  • Marketplace buyers and sellers – we do not share a seller’s contact details with buyers or a buyer’s details with sellers. All sales go through Court Culture.
  • Authorities – when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.

5. Storing data outside Bangladesh

Some of our service providers (including our website host, payment processor and email and analytics providers) store data on servers outside Bangladesh. When this happens we use providers that apply recognised security standards, and we transfer only what is needed for the service.

6. How long we keep your information

  • Order and payment records: for as long as required by Bangladeshi tax and accounting law (generally up to 6 years).
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it, or after 3 years with no activity.
  • Marketplace listings and photos: up to 12 months after the listing ends, then deleted.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.
  • Messages and support requests: up to 2 years.

7. Cookies

We use cookies that are essential to run the store (keeping you logged in, remembering your cart and checkout). With your consent, we also use analytics and marketing cookies to understand how the site is used and to measure our campaigns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store, such as the cart, may then stop working.

8. Keeping your information safe

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to customer data is limited to staff who need it, and card details are handled only by our payment provider. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private. If a data breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example order records);
  • stop sending you marketing, or withdraw any consent you have given.

You can update most details yourself in My Account. For anything else, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

Our store is intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, place an order or list an item on the Marketplace. Younger customers should ask a parent or guardian to order for them. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without a parent’s consent, we will delete it.

11. Links to other websites

Our site links to other services such as WhatsApp, Trustpilot and brand websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date at the top. For important changes we will let account holders know by email.
